Tony McCarthy joined Royal Mail in January 2003 and is responsible for ensuring that the company's frontline people, and their managers, get every support possible to carry out their roles. Tony's main challenge is boosting the morale of Royal Mail Group's 195,000 employees and making the company a great place in which to work. Prior to joining Royal Mail, Tony was Group HR Director at BAE Systems plc where he worked since 1978. Tony has a post graduate diploma in manpower studies from Salford University and a degree in business studies from Sheffield Polytechnic.
