Giving good service to customers with disabilities

The DAC is Royal Mail's in-house focal point for disability related issues within the organisation.

‘As Disability Champion for Royal Mail Group plc and Chairman of the Employers' Forum on Disability, I am delighted to take this opportunity to welcome you to this website, which allows access to a wide variety of formats and unrestricted access via the internet or via our organisation’s Intranet.

The Disability Action Centre was established in 1993 to provide help and advice on disability related issues to all employees and our sub-postmasters. As one of the UK’s largest service providers and employers, getting things right for our disabled customers and employees is vital, both because it makes business sense and it’s the right thing to do. Our aim is, wherever possible, to enhance the services we provide to disabled people living and working in our community. I do hope you enjoy the site.’

David J Mills, Chief Executive, Post Office Ltd, 2004.
